Origin
The brown algae species from which fucoxanthin is enriched are harvested in the coastal waters of all oceans.
Appearance

Production
The brown algae species are harvested wild (Fucus) or grown in aquaculture (Laminaria, Undaria) and harvested after a few months in the water.
